Create Search Engine Spider Food

Search engines love content. The more information you provide to a search engine, the more information they can provide to searchers - a mutually beneficial relationship.

Search engines have programs called spiders that crawl your web site and find text that they can then use to list you in the best place they believe you need to be listed. If you have text on your site about temporary airbrush tattoos in Detroit, Michigan, that is where they will list you. If you have text about event party ideas, you will be listed there.

In other words, you need to provide text to the spiders about where you want to be listed. If you do not wish to be listed for a particular category, avoid using those types of terms.

Here is a link to an article, a bit dated, but it still has a lot of relevant ideas for your site.
