How the big boys play with colors

A while ago Jennifer Kyrnin, from About.com, did a short research project to survey the color palettes of the some major players in the web world. I feel like her analysis is very interesting, and since reading her article I have been noticing this same patterning toward a neutral (usually gray) palette with one distinctive touch for pop. (I highly recommend her blog to anyone who may be interested in web design, but one note for reading – make sure to follow her links, her content is largely aggregated from other sources, so if you don’t follow her links you are truly only seeing the tip of the iceberg.)

I’d like to add a rough version of TatStore.com’s color palette to the collection for study.

Finally I would like to offer my congratulations to my close friends Ben and Devan Kohl on their marriage this weekend. I wish you both the best. If you’d like to view their beautiful wedding colors, check it out here. (For the last color “sparkly” wasn’t an option).
