Today is Election day for the new President of the United States. I stood in line today for the first time at my polling location, so high was the voter turn out. Young and old, first time voters and veteran voters. I watched as an elderly couple left the polling, hand in hand, speaking a foreign language. Both were obviously proud to live in a new country that asked them to participate in government. Behind me was a grandmother coaching her grand daughter, a first time voter, understand the issues on the ballot.

It was a good morning.
