HelllOOOO! Is anybody out there?
Today is Thanksgiving Day and I imagine everyone is busy eating. Me too, I wrote this earlier.
I just want to let you know that I am thankful for you, our customer. I was so impressed when I was reading the Forum to get the material for the Opportunity Knocks ebook. Many of you reached out to people who were struggling and helped answer their questions or helped by giving them advice. Kudos to everyone for reaching out to help.
Imagine you are Queen Elizabeth the 1st of England. You are one of the wealthiest, most powerful people on the earth. Your wardrobe is extensive and your jewelry collection is not only breath taking but incredibly valuable. People in your court hang on every word you say. You have your own personal physician with access to some of the best leeches in England, but no aspirin, antibiotics or pain killers. You have your own royal carriage, but it doesn’t have heat in the winter or air conditioning in the summer. You live in a sprawling castle but it is cold and drafty in the winter with no electricity or indoor plumbing. You have servants but you cannot send them to the store to pick up fresh pineapple or strawberries in the winter, or even make you a fresh salad. Your face is hidden under heavy white make up to cover up the scars from small pox. If you are lucky, you still have most of your teeth.
I think you are getting the picture. We live in the best of times. We have luxuries the good queen could never begin to imagine. In short, we have so much to be thankful for. It is good that we take one day to focus on giving thanks not only for the abundance of food we have, but all the other blessings in our lives. We are so blessed.
I wish you and your families the best on this wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
Eat enough, drink a little and be very grateful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Bonnie
